It started falling out a few weeks ago and tonight I took a shower and seriously, no exaggeration, half of my hair came out in clumps. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do? Please help! I feel horrible and don’t know what to do.

That happened to me when my daughter was about 6 months old. It really freaked me out. I would run my fingers through my hair and a clump of hair would fall out. My comb would be just full of hair.

My doctor said not to worry, she said it could take up to 6 months for my hormones and everything to get back to normal. I thought, wow in 6 months I will be bald.

My doctor was right, within a few months my hair was back to normal. I’m sorry to say, there’s not much you can do. My daughter is now 2 1/2 and I still have a full head of hair. So, don’t worry.

I’m using Kirkland minoxidil as a treatment for hair-loss! I need to know is there any side effects using this?

Hair loss is a very common problem among people. In most cases abnormal loosing of hair is a sign of health problems. What is abnormal loosing of hair? Do not panic if you loose from 50 to 100 hair per day – this is normal. If you clearly lose more or you see hairless spots on your head – see your doctor.

So 50-100 strands of hair loss is totally normal and in limits, but if you still want to have stronger hair against hair loss, i advice you to check the following web page, where you can find recent best 10 shampoos that help you to recover from your hair loss problem and they are really great. The page ALSO has information about the possible reasons of hair loss.

I advice you to give Nioxin a try. In the web page above you will also find some other information than just shampoos, such as how to prevent hair loss and what are the common reasons of it..

Also i advice you to check the Bosley company, you will see their link in the web page above, where you can get free consultation with Bosley Medical physician, they are hair loss experts and one of the best world wide and the consults are totally free of charge and you will get the correct information without spending a dime and then decide your next step.

Sounds like the poor thing has mites I have a guinea pig and they say they have the same symptoms. Mites are not visible to the naked eye. They have red spots, hair loss, scruffiness, ect. Those are all the first symptoms of mites I guess in both guinea pigs and rabbits, and watever else out there with fur and that can get mites.

I don’t know much about about fleas because guinea pigs usually don’t get them. But i just read up on a website that you can tell if your rabbit has fleas if he is constantly scratching himself and u can see little black specks in the fur which is flea poop.

Ticks are not common, but can infest your rabbit…
Examine him and see if you can see any visible ones.

Hope you find out the problem!!!

skin became great, but this receding hairline thinning is still a reality after all this time. I have really thick hair normally so the rest is thick but the hair near the front and top is thin compared to the rest…its a pretty imbalanced look. I need to do a gradual thin out from top to bottom with thinning shears and layer it a lot.
My main question is, is this a permanent deal?
Have any of you grown hair back?
Are there hair treatments, products for it to grow back?
    Thanks a mill.

I am 17 years old too and I have the SAME exact problem like you.
I have just recently gone to the dermotologist and he said that it most likely is genetics.
So I would say, if you don’t have stress, look for people in your family or extended family that has hair loss or if any of the men are going bald. This is just genetics. The doctor said that that is what happened to me but the good thing is I won’t go bald.
So honey, you won’t go bald either =]
The doctor told me to take Biotin 2500-5000 mcg. That promotes the health and growth of hair, skin, and nails.
Message your head daily, that increases blood circulation and helps the growth of new hair. Everyone sheds and there are times when you shed more so if you see an increase that is no problem.
Ultimately, if this gets scary, go to the doctors. That is the best thing to do. I know I felt better after I went because you know for sure what is wrong. The words of a doctor help.I don’t want this to become a huge problem when you can get help just by saying you will be alright, which I think you will. But yea, these are all from my experience hon, I feel you. Good luck with everything! =]

P.S. Yes, the nail thing actually does work. I heard it on a Doctors Show!

I am 14 and each time i wash my hair i find hair on my hands, not a lot of hair but 5 or six strands. this happens each time i run my hand through my hair. i was just wondering if these were early signs of hair loss or something else.

  15. BethanLivingstone says:

i get this all the time!! and my hair keeps growing and i have lots of it
i think it means your hair is falling out cos its dry/damaged.
ive heard other people have this problem
    its nothing to worry about.
as long as its only a few strands :)

I’m having a lot of hair loss since I colored my hair 1.5 months ago.My hair color naturally is brown with very slight graying & a little lighter at the ends from swimming & the sun.I use a name brand color & developer to color my hair brown. The directions say 35min. for color or 45min for grey coverage.I accidentally left the process on my hair for 1 1/2 hours. Is this going to cause drastic hair loss?

  17. Jessica! says:

It shouldn’t very drastically. That wasn’t smart to keep in in for that long though, it can really damage & over process your hair. But, it wasn’t too much longer then the directions. I think you need to go into a salon or a beauty supply store & ask for advice or products that can help you =]
